The International Forestry Fund is firmly committed to the concept of Socially Responsible Investment and the principles of sustainability and biodiversity in its forest strategy and management. The Board of the International Forestry Fund is acutely aware of its environmental and social obligations which are incorporated into the management regime of each and every forest plantation which is responsibly managed in accordance with best forestry principles.
Appropriate certification will be sought depending on the geographic location of the Fund's global forest to ensure that best forestry principles are followed including Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or other appropriate certification scheme.
